About the Role
As an Activities Leader you will:
- Use your own creative talents to form the ongoing activities plan for the residents in our care.
- Assist in the assessment of the needs of the residents, through meeting with them, other team members, and family members.
- Support providing stimulation and exercise to residents that meet their individual needs through a wide and varied activities programme including music, exercise, and arts & crafts.
- Build relationships with residents and families to gather life story information and ensure care plans and activities are developed and updated accordingly.
- Spend individual time with residents, care staff, and relatives to create personalised activities that engage our residents and reflect their interests and hobbies.
- Assist in developing community links with local groups and arrange trips and excursions with varied destinations and purposes to involve as many residents in activity outside the Home.
- Support in the roll‑out of various levels of initiatives and encourage others to be involved.
- Assist in the creation of evidencing and tracking activity engagement via digital and written methods.
A strong communicator is required with a genuine interest in promoting independence and lifestyle opportunities for the elderly. Passionate about offering superior services and wanting to make a difference.
