We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our busy Warehouse & Distribution team. This is a hands‑on role where you will play a key part in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, packed, assembled, and dispatched to a high standard. Hillbrush is a proud family‑owned business with over 100 years of heritage and expertise. We are globally recognised within the cleaning and hygiene industry for designing and manufacturing high‑quality brushes and cleaning tools, known for their durability, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
Based at our modern facilities in Mere, Wiltshire, we offer a supportive working environment, with benefits including on‑site parking and access to a free staff gym to support a healthy work‑life balance. As part of the role, you will support the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse by picking and packing customer orders, assembling products and preparing goods for dispatch. You will receive full training and can develop multi‑skilled experience across different areas of the warehouse, including order picking, packing, loading and unloading, and product assembly. Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of productivity, accuracy, and safety across all warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected with no errors
- Ensure all products are assembled and packaged to a high standard to prevent damage in transit
- Assemble and/or pack products to customer specifications to stock
- Load and unload vehicles (inbound and outbound deliveries) safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised warehouse in line with Health & Safety regulations
- Work in accordance with customer delivery requirements, including special instructions
- Use warehouse systems to record activity and support KPI tracking and timekeeping
- Meet agreed deadlines for order fulfilment and warehouse operations
Starting salary: £25,776 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:45pm (early finish Friday at 3:45pm)
Working week: 39 hours (with a 45‑minute unpaid break each day)
