At Hillbrush, we are a family‑owned, fourth‑generation business renowned for our high‑quality cleaning and hygiene products. Operating from modern premises in Mere, Wiltshire, we are seeking a General Maintenance Technician to join our team.
The Roles
The General Maintenance Technician is a varied role; it involves carrying out maintenance and repairs across our buildings, equipment, and grounds, as well as supporting engineering projects and ensuring the site remains safe, compliant, and operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production engineering, planning and maintenance activities to improve operational performance
- Assist with day‑to‑day maintenance requirements for the plant, equipment, and building infrastructure to minimise downtime
- Carry out facility and property repairs promptly and to a high standard
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of core facility systems and procedures
- Identify issues with equipment, utilities, or building fabric and assist with or undertake appropriate repairs
- Be proactive and willing to develop and learn new skills, including the operation and testing of essential fire prevention and safety systems
- Assist with electrical installation and wiring tasks under the supervision of the Electrical Engineer
- Support a wide range of maintenance and engineering projects as required across the business

What We Offer
- Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:45pm, Fridays 8:00am – 3:45pm (39 hours a week)
