The Port of Cromarty Firth is currently seeking a Deputy Facilities Manager - Maintenance to join our team to support operations and manage our maintenance department. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who has experience working in a similar role within a dynamic environment.

  • Lead and manage the Facilities Maintenance Team, including day-to-day task allocation, performance management, providing clear and visible direction.
  • Develop and support maintenance planning including, but not limited to, ensuring PoCF quays, piers, warehouses and lay down areas remain fit for purpose, clear of debris and safe to use. Include setting and monitoring KPIs and targets in line with the plan & marine craft codes to meet service level agreements.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with fire, legionella, asbestos and other relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrate awareness of CDM (Construction Design and Management) Regulations, including duties relating to health, safety, risk management, and coordination.
  • On-site contractor management and Issuing Authority for permit to work.
  • Undertake the implementation of planned maintenance programs.
  • Supervision and control of equipment for the provision and receipt of fuel, water and waste, including the processing of returns where required.
  • Work collaboratively with customers and internal parties to ensure all assets are maintained.
  • Ensure invoicing is accurate and completed in a timely manner & manage utilities and re-charging process across the Port.
  • Proactively instruct and monitor inspections including the understanding of insurance obligations.
  • Work collaboratively with customers and internal teams to ensure all assets are maintained to the appropriate standard of repair, safety and reliability.
  • Ensure that planned and reactive maintenance and capital investment are undertaken.
  • Manage utilities and re-charging process across the Port.
  • Project manage port maintenance projects and arrange repairs and maintenance to facilities/equipment by contractors.
  • Deputise for the Facilities Operations Manager/ provide cover for Deputy Facilities Operations Manager in their absence.
  • Participate in supporting cruise operations – quayside set-up and coordination, participate within mooring operations as Team Leader, as required & supply of fuel and freshwater to vessels and rigs.
  • Participate in out of hours duty call-out rota.
  • Develop and maintain plant (forklift/crane/MEWP) & marine skills to support operations.
  • Support site emergency and oil spill response.
  • Other duties as required from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
