We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Electrician to join our Engineering team, supporting both our Dingwall food processing facility and remote salmon farm sites.Responsible for installing, maintaining, fault finding and repairing electrical systems and equipment critical to our production, refrigeration, automation.
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on electrical systems and equipment within the food processing facility and at salmon farm sites.
- Diagnose electrical faults quickly and efficiently to minimise production downtime.
- Install, maintain and upgrade electrical components including motors, variable speed drives, control panels, pumps, lighting systems and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and ensure electrical equipment remains safe and operational.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, technical diagrams and schematics.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs and electrical work completed.
- Work closely with the Engineering team to support capital projects, equipment installations and electrical system improvements.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant health & safety, food safety and environmental requirements.
- Follow safe isolation and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Travel to remote salmon farm locations when required, with travel and accommodation arrangements provided.
- Respond to after-hours breakdowns as part of a rotating on-call schedule.
