Exciting opportunity to share in the success and growth of Highwood Care Home, a brand new, purpose-built facility nestled in the picturesque and historic port town of Bideford. Our luxury care home offers a warm and welcoming environment for up to 67 residents, providing Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite care. With state-of-the-art facilities and beautifully designed spaces, we pride ourselves on creating a safe, comfortable, and enriching environment where residents can feel truly at home.

As Clinical Deputy Manager, you’ll play a central role in making that happen.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and developing the nursing team
  • Overseeing care planning and clinical governance
  • Ensuring the safe delivery of complex care
  • Helping maintain a home that is always inspection-ready
  • Deputising in the Home Manager’s absence, providing stability, confidence, and leadership

What We Are Looking For:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience within a care setting
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Experience in clinical governance, audits and compliance
  • Ability to support, mentor and develop staff
  • Confident decision making and problem solving skills
  • A compassionate, professional and resident focused approach
