The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

Parking Services are looking to recruit 5 full time Civil Enforcement Officers to complement its existing workforce. Civil Enforcement Officers are highly motivated and committed front line, uniformed team who are responsible for the enforcement of the district's parking restrictions.

Once fully trained the successful candidate will be required to:

  • Carry out enforcement duties in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Issue Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles that are parked in contravention of the Councils Parking Places and Traffic Regulation Orders.
  • Work a 37hr week, currently 3 x 9.5hrs shift and 1x 8.5hrs shifts over a 6 week rolling rota (subject to change).
  • Deal with contentious situations assertively and with diplomacy.
  • Remain calm under pressure and be able to think and act confidently.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and provide a variety of information to members of the public.
  • Drive Council Fleet Vehicles.
  • Be physically fit enough to patrol for the majority of a 9.5 hour shift while carrying routine items of equipment/supplies.
  • Identify faults and carry out routine maintenance on Pay and Display machines.
  • Operate hand held technology equipment and mobile phones.
  • Work safely in line with Council Risk assessments and Health and Safety Policies.
  • Report various issues they encounter when on patrol to the Council or partners such as the Police.
  • Write good quality reports and statements.
  • Work evenings and weekends as part of a shift rota.
  • Work alone for the majority of the time.
  • Drive Council vehicles as part of the role.
  • Work within Council Policies and Procedures.

Experience within the Parking industry would be an advantage but is not essential as full training is provided.
