The Park Operations Assistant will support the daily operation of Great Notley Country Park, ensuring secure access, maintaining facilities, and providing an enjoyable visitor experience.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Manage car park vehicle access points, opening and closing as scheduled.
- Ensure all facilities (toilets, buildings, storage areas) are secure, available, and maintained.
- Carry out general maintenance – painting, signage, weeding, foliage trimming.
- Clean and maintain park facilities including litter picking and bin clearance.
- Support general operational activities and complete relevant health & safety checks.
- Engage with customers to improve visitor experience and address issues.
- Achieve performance targets set in the annual performance management framework.
- Complete other duties as reasonably requested.
Qualifications & Experience
- Practical maintenance experience desirable.
- Education at RQF Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) or similar experience.
- Experience delivering excellent customer service to members of the public.
- Good communication skills, able to provide information and advice.
- Ability to work within a team and support team members to meet local objectives.
Additional Information
- Must have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, or meet the role’s mobility requirements.
- If a DBS check is required, the employee will need to register with the DBS update service.
