National Highways have an excellent opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join our team in Major Projects. As a Project Support Officer, you will support and enable the delivery of capital investment projects in the Major Projects directorate. The broad scope of this role encompasses the delivery and coordination of project and administrative support to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to time, quality and within budget.

Please note this position will be based from our Bristol office however travel to sites / offices throughout the region will be required.

  • Provide comprehensive project support for project management activities including finance, document control and scheme governance ensuring the accuracy and quality of project data and compliance.
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in National Highways and the supply chain.
  • Enable and support effective information management including the maintenance of high-quality project products and records in accordance with National Highways Policies and Procedures and legal requirements.
  • Support with project / programme governance and assurance requirements including stage gate assessments, independent audits, and project health checks.
  • Assist with project management products including project plans, risk registers, action logs and benefits registers.
