Highway Assurance Ltd Civil Engineering department are part of the expanding Highway Assurance group, which is a company based in East Anglia, with our head office in Barham, Suffolk.
We pride ourselves on being able to offer the complete service from planning, through to the delivery of works. Our aim is to be the sub-contractor of choice. We do this by offering a bespoke and professional service to our clients.
We are seeking skilled NHSS Lantra 12D M1/M2 and M1/2/5 Traffic Management operatives to join our Civil Engineering team at our Barham/Norwich Depots.
The role is specifically working for the Civil Engineering department as part of a small traffic management team to meet and facilitate our clients/customers’ requirements. To deliver, man, maintain and remove various setups including Traffic Lights (Multi-phase included), Road Closures etc as well as other TM duties such as manual control, stop go if required and operative on site.

- Drive the standard within the company through quality, professionalism and safe working practices.
- Maintain accurate and timely site documentation using means provided.
- Maintain effective communication with the operations department and senior management.
- Be polite and professional to customers and members of public at all times.
- Show a positive, can do attitude.
- Maintain vehicles and equipment related to your job and ensure they are suitable for use.
- To wear full 6 point PPE whilst on site as per HA company policy.
Requirements
- Must hold minimum NHSS Lantra 12D M1/M2.
- Ideal NHSS Lantra 12D M5.
- Must hold Full UK driving Licence.
- Must be flexible and able to work days, nights and some weekends when required (with notice).
- Have complete or working understanding of Chapter 8 and The Code of Practice (the Red Book).
- Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick and effective decisions.
- Must remain flexible and willing to help out in other areas (Civil Engineering) if required.
