We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of the Carrington Project in Manchester. This role will provide day‑to‑day coordination and administrative support across all project functions, working closely with the Project Director and wider project team including Construction, Logistics, Commercial, Recruitment Coordination, Project Finance, and Project Controls Management (PCM). The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring project activities are coordinated efficiently, communication flows effectively between stakeholders, and operational and commercial tasks are delivered to a high standard.

The role will involve supporting recruitment and onboarding activities for project personnel, coordinating purchase orders (POs), assisting with supplier setup processes, and helping maintain accurate financial and project records. This position requires regular attendance across both site and office locations in Manchester and will act as a central point of contact for internal teams and external parties supporting the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide coordination and administrative support across all project activities relating to the Carrington Project.
  • Support the Construction team with site coordination, documentation, meeting scheduling, and general project administration.
  • Assist Logistics activities including deliveries, site access coordination, material tracking, and communication with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Support the Commercial and PCM teams with reporting, document control, tracking actions, and maintaining project records.
  • Assist with recruitment coordination activities including arranging interviews, onboarding new starters, coordinating inductions, and supporting workforce mobilisation requirements.
  • Coordinate project purchase orders (POs), track approvals, and assist with ensuring timely processing of project‑related costs and supplier invoices.
  • Support project finance administration activities including maintaining trackers, cost records, and supporting budget‑related reporting requirements.
  • Assist with new supplier setup and vendor onboarding processes, ensuring documentation and compliance requirements are completed accurately.
  • Assist the Project Director with day‑to‑day operational tasks, reporting requirements, meeting preparation, and follow‑up actions.
  • Attend both site and office‑based meetings and activities across the Manchester project location.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other parties supporting the project.
  • Coordinate project meetings, issue minutes, track actions, and ensure timely follow‑up.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, trackers, and filing systems.
  • Assist with onboarding and coordination of visitors, contractors, and external personnel attending site.
  • Support communication between internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Help identify and resolve coordination issues proactively to maintain project progress.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, or similar support role within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Experience supporting project finance administration, procurement coordination, or commercial activities is advantageous.
  • Experience coordinating recruitment or onboarding activities within a project environment is beneficial.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced project environment.
  • Confident liaising with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently when required.
  • Experience supporting large‑scale construction or industrial projects is advantageous.
