We are seeking an experienced Field Engineer to join their team on a 24-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site engineering support, ensuring the proper implementation of project designs and addressing any technical issues that may arise during construction.

How you will make an impact:

  • Provide on-site engineering support, ensuring the proper implementation of project designs and specifications.
  • Monitor and perform technical audits, in progress inspections, to ensure that project technical requirements are being met.
  • Resolve all the technical queries.
  • Collaborate with construction supervisors, project managers, and other team members to address technical issues and ensure the successful integration of energy storage technologies.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documentation, providing guidance to construction personnel as needed and ensure that Contractors are executing their scope to the latest revision of drawings/specifications.
  • Facilitate Construction team by providing clarification to engineering documents issued for construction.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and testing to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of field engineering activities, including progress reports, as-built documentation, and quality control records.
  • Provide technical clarifications to vendor representatives during their assignments on the jobsite.
  • Answering/Issuing Request for Information (RFI) and Technical Queries (TQs), issuing Field Change Request (FCR), as needed.
  • Support in compiling technical details for any back charges as appropriate if Contractors or Vendors execute their works in error.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil disciplines.
  • Proven experience as a Field Engineer, preferably within the renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure sector.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to the evolving needs of the renewable energy industry.
