Salary: £26,853 per annum

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Are you passionate about empowering young people to build brighter futures? Join our dedicated team at Hemel YPHS, providing supported accommodation for 16-24-year-olds, including young parents and those moving towards independence.

Role

You will be part of a compassionate, values-driven team that works collaboratively with social workers, local authorities, and other professionals to create a safe, inclusive environment where every young person feels respected and supported. Your role will involve:

  • Helping young people develop life skills and confidence
  • Supporting access to education, training, and employment
  • Building trusting relationships and offering compassionate guidance
  • Responding to challenges and contributing to safeguarding plans

Shifts

This is a 24-hour rota role, where staff remain on site throughout the entire shift, including an overnight sleep-in period. Shifts include evenings, overnight cover, weekends, and early mornings, with sleep-ins paid at £52.78 per night.

  • 2:30pm - 10:30pm
  • Sleep in 10:30pm - 7:30am
  • 7:30am - 3:30pm

About You

You will be empathetic, resilient, and committed to making a difference. A full UK driving licence with business insurance and access to a vehicle is essential, as you may need to transport young people.

Please Note

  • You must commit to starting a Level 4 or equivalent Children, Young People & Families Practitioner Workforce Diploma within one year of joining
  • You must sign up to the DBS Update Service
