We currently have an opportunity for a full‑time (37.5 hours per week) Assistant Support Worker at our supported living scheme, Verney Road, in Winslow. Verney Road offers a welcoming and independent environment for three individuals with learning disabilities who require daily support with tasks such as administering medication and managing finances.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate support to individuals living in their own homes or in supported housing to enable them to support their aspirations and maximise their independence, including lone working.
- Promote life skills such as shopping, managing budgets and supporting with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
- Build supportive relationships with people who will benefit from you “being the difference”.
- Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual’s needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Self‑motivated, proactive individuals who genuinely care about others with a common‑sense, can‑do attitude.
- Ability to understand and respond to the needs and wishes of vulnerable adults, using a variety of communication methods tailored to everyone.
- No experience required – we will support you every step of the way.
Salaries and Benefits
- ÂŁ24,570 pa for a 37.5 hour a week contract.
- Generous annual leave allowance of 33 days per year, including statutory bank holidays, rising to 35 days with service.
