Join our team at Old Barn, a registered care home in Gawcott, near Buckingham. As a Support Worker, you will make a meaningful impact on the lives of the people we support, helping them achieve independence and live with dignity.
Base pay range £15,513 pa for a 22.5 hour a week contract (£13.26 per hour). Workplace pension scheme and life assurance of three times your annual salary. Annual bonus based on satisfactory performance. Monthly attendance bonus and annual salary and cost of living review. Ongoing professional development and training to help you deliver outstanding support. Refer-a-friend scheme: Earn a £130 bonus for each friend you refer to work for us. Employee assistance helpline.
Responsibilities- Assess needs and develop personalised support plans
- Promote independence through life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting
- Provide personal care with sensitivity and respect
- Follow and contribute to risk assessments and management plans
- Induct and assist in the mentoring of new staff
- Support aspirations and help individuals achieve their goals
- Experience in the care or support sector
- Can-do attitude and genuine desire to help others thrive
- Communicate effectively and adapt to different needs and preferences
- Be flexible and reliable, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays
- Work well as part of a team and independently
- Be committed to equality, diversity, and person-centred care
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work
