About the Role: As a Mobile Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining our housing schemes and communal areas to a high standard. You will be responsible for:

  • Regular visits to care, supported housing, and general needs sites
  • Low-level maintenance tasks and repairs
  • Grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, and leaf blowing
  • Waste collection and disposal from bin stores and communal areas
  • PAT testing and emergency equipment checks
  • Supporting estate improvements and working closely with our maintenance and housing teams
  • Equipment stock checks
  • Clean/unblock drains, gullies, sinks, toilets as necessary.

What we are Looking For:

  • Experience in maintenance, caretaking, or grounds work
  • Confidence in carrying out DIY-level repairs and using garden tools
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to excellent customer service and Hightown's values

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Housing Associations or Local Authorities
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements
