We are recruiting a full-time (37.5 hours) Assistant Support Worker to join our supported living service at Aplin Road, Aylesbury. Aplin Road supports people with physical health needs, mental health conditions, and learning disabilities to live independently and achieve their personal goals. Our team provides high-quality, person-centred support with compassion, creating an environment where individuals are respected, included, and encouraged to thrive.
The Role
As an Assistant Support Worker, you will empower the people we support to live as independently as possible, building positive relationships and offering the right level of support to promote dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the safe administration of medication
- Providing personal care with sensitivity and respect
- Encouraging life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
- Supporting access to local amenities and community activities
- Promoting independence and supporting individuals to achieve their goals
- Working in line with individual support plans and risk assessments
About You
You will have some experience in a similar role, as lone working is involved. You will be committed to delivering tailored support that enables people to maximise their independence, working collaboratively with colleagues and in line with agreed support plans.
