Support Worker – Kent House Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of those in need? As a support worker at Kent House, you will provide vital assistance to homeless individuals with diverse needs, including those dealing with substance misuse, helping them maintain their tenancies and address their personal challenges. Kent House is dedicated to offering medium to high levels of support, ensuring our residents can transition into appropriate long-term accommodation. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping people live independently and with dignity. You will work closely with each individual to: Assess needs and develop personalised support plans Promote independencethrough life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting Follow and contribute to risk assessments and management plans Support aspirations and help individuals achieve their goalsYou’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that values collaboration and compassion. About you: We are looking for someone with experience in the care or support sector, who brings a can-do attitude and a genuine desire to help others thrive. You will also need to: Communicate effectively and adapt to different needs and preferences Be flexible and reliable, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays Work well as part of a team and independently Be committed to equality, diversity, and person-centred care Hold a full UK driving licence, and have access to a vehicle for work as well as Business InsuranceWe will support your development with a structured induction, comprehensive training, and the opportunity to gain an accredited vocational qualification.
