The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Requirements: An enhanced DBS check is required, Hightown will cover the cost of this after a successful interview. You must hold a full UK driving licence with access to a car. Please only apply if you have a UK driving licence. We do not accept international driving licences.

About us: We provide care and supported housing to people with a wide range of needs across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. We enable people to be more independent through support and housing that suits their needs and is accessible. We are proud that all our services are rated good or excellent. Our services range from learning disabilities, mental health, homelessness, young peoples and separated migrant children. Our Bank staff have the freedom to pick and choose shifts based around their availability. The type of service, day of the week, shift type is up to you!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote high values for people in daily practice, i.e. choice, privacy, individuality, dignity, etc. This includes providing personal care according to service users’ support plan in a sensitive manner as well as helping individuals to make decisions about their own lives by working within the guidelines of the Association’s person centred approach.
  • Enable people to receive appropriate health care and advice when necessary.
  • Create opportunities and enable people to develop and widen their social, educational and leisure networks.
  • Assist and support people with all areas necessary for them to live independently, i.e. laundry, cleaning, cooking, shopping, etc.
  • Be able to follow agreed support plans with the individual.
  • Be able to communicate effectively, using different methods of communication according to people's needs.

Team Work

  • Work as part of a team, actively participating in meetings, bringing forward ideas and contributing to relevant decisions.
  • Lone working when necessary.

Operational

  • Follow and implement the Associations and scheme’s policies and procedures at all times.
  • Carry out all administration requested in relation to the role and daily requirements.
  • Liaise with other professionals, as required.
  • Work within the framework laid down by the CQC.
