Role Description

This is a contract hybrid role for a Gym Director located in Pontypool, with the opportunity to perform certain responsibilities remotely. The Gym Director will oversee daily operations, coordinate schedules, and manage fitness programs to cater to the community’s diverse needs. Responsibilities include planning and supervising exercise classes, implementing customer service initiatives, developing training programs, ensuring a clean and welcoming facility, and supporting the professional development of staff members. The Gym Director will also manage budgets, foster community engagement, and promote the gym’s mission as a hub for wellness and fitness.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Group Exercise and Group Training programs
• Knowledge of Exercise Physiology and the ability to design effective fitness regimens
• Strong Customer Service skills to engage diverse community members
• Experience in Training and overseeing staff members
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting, combining onsite and remote responsibilities
• A relevant qualification in fitness management, physical education, or a related field
• Previous experience in gym or fitness center operations is preferred
