Part-Time Media Accreditation Assistant required to work in the Communications Team for Farnborough Airshow.

Required: 15th June – 27th July

  • 15th June – 10th July - 2 Days Per Week
  • WC 13th July (7.5 hours per day)
  • WC 20th July (8.5 hours per day)
  • Plus Sunday 19th July.

The role requires an individual with awareness of the global media landscape and the ability to carry out comprehensive research to determine the quality of journalists applying. Also required is the ability to work using specific IT systems.

The key functions for the Media Accreditation Assistant are:

  • Receiving applications, researching and processing them in advance of, and during the airshow
  • Answering calls and emails from media with queries about their application
  • Ensuring the process around creating and distributing media passes is well managed
  • Creating passes on site during the show and delivering them to media when necessary
  • Assisting the comms and marketing teams with admin support

The Media Accreditation Assistant should have the following skills and experience:

  • Administrative and IT skills
  • Good telephone manner
  • Good written English
  • Organised, efficient, flexible attitude, calm under pressure and able to work to deadlines.

Media Accreditation Assistant Hours:

  • 2 days per week for first four weeks
  • Validation week 6 days inc. Sunday 19th July
  • Show Week 5 days at 8.5 hrs per day

All applicants must be able to commit to the full duration of the contract.
