We are looking for a caring, reliable and hardworking Ancillary Assistant to join our friendly team. This role is essential in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the people we support, their families, visitors and colleagues.
Main Duties
- Carry out cleaning duties in residents' rooms, communal areas, bathrooms and offices.
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing to residents.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock levels.
- Dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
- Support with preparing and serving light refreshments when required.
- Ensure equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards or concerns to management.
- Work as part of the wider team to create a comfortable and homely environment.
About You
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and organised.
- Previous cleaning, housekeeping or laundry experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- An understanding of infection control practices would be an advantage.
