Care Home: Colliers Croft

We are looking for a caring, reliable and hardworking Ancillary Assistant to join our friendly team. This role is essential in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the people we support, their families, visitors and colleagues.

Main Duties

  • Carry out cleaning duties in residents' rooms, communal areas, bathrooms and offices.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing to residents.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock levels.
  • Dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
  • Support with preparing and serving light refreshments when required.
  • Ensure equipment is used safely and stored correctly.
  • Report any maintenance issues, hazards or concerns to management.
  • Work as part of the wider team to create a comfortable and homely environment.

About You

  • A positive attitude and willingness to help others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, punctual and organised.
  • Previous cleaning, housekeeping or laundry experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • An understanding of infection control practices would be an advantage.
