The Role

As an Associate Treasury Analyst within Sotheby’s Treasury team, you will support the accounts receivable and treasury functions with detailed reporting and financial analysis.

The role involves preparing routine journal entries related to accounts receivable and financing activities, contributing to balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting daily treasury operations.

This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage responsibilities across Sotheby’s entities.

The ideal candidate can think analytically, work autonomously, and has intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Daily incoming cash reconciliations, reporting and analysis of accounts receivable data.
  • Liaising with the accounts receivable team to support cash application, invoicing requirements and cashflow movement.
  • Preparing and recording monthly journal entries related to financing transactions.
  • Consolidating client payment data to support cashflow management.
  • Managing treasury month‑end tasks such as FX rates reporting and bank reconciliations.
  • Supporting daily treasury operations around intra‑group funding and payment release.
  • Assisting with audit activities and ensuring timely delivery of required documentation.
  • Ideal Experience & Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Excellent communicator and team player.
  • Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency in other core applications.
  • Experience in treasury, finance, accounting is an advantage.
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage.
