Residential Technician – Crisis Stabilization (Crisis Services)
Highlands Harbor is a crisis stabilization program that provides an alternative to hospitalization. It offers an overnight, non-hospital setting that focuses on individualized care for those experiencing psychiatric or substance use crises, including detox. The program has a 12-bed capacity in a newly renovated building.
Position Details
Location: Abingdon, VA
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Wednesday – Saturday, 6:30 am – 4:30 pm
Compensation: $15.00 – Commensurate with education/experience
Education: High School Diploma / GED
Experience: Current/valid driver’s license required. One year of related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks based on consumers\’ dietary needs
- Assist with general supervision and monitor safety, including periodic rounds
- Assist with daily living activities and personal hygiene
- Perform laundry, light cleaning, and search belongings as needed
- Assist with enrollment and discharge processes
