The Aerodrome Flight Information Services Officer (AFISO) provides a vital safety critical Aerodrome Flight Information Service (AFIS) within the AFIS environment. You will be expected to deliver accurate, timely, and relevant AFIS and Meteorological Services to aircraft operating within the Aerodrome Traffic Zone (ATZ) and beyond, and on the manoeuvring area of the aerodrome to support safe and efficient flight operations, in accordance with regulatory requirements and Highland and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) operational procedures.

As an AFISO, you will exercise independent professional judgement requiring sustained concentration, and real-time decision making, with responsibilities that directly impact aviation safety, emergency response coordination, directly contributing to the safe continuity of regional air transport services and the continuity of aerodrome operations.
