Key information:
- The basic salary for this role begins at £28,899 whilst undergoing initial training, increasing to £30,195 following training and achievement of an HGV license. You will then progress by annual increments up to the grade maximum, £32,748.
- This role requires you to work on a shift basis which includes weekends. When working on a shift basis, a shift premium applies at a rate of 12.5% along with a monthly weekend allowance.
- In addition, you will be part of an on-call roster and for every night you are rostered to be on call you will receive on call allowance and, if called out, additional pay. A higher hourly rate is applicable to any hours overtime worked.

When you start, you’ll undertake a comprehensive training package which is just the beginning of your career long learning. The work you’ll do is varied and interesting. Being prepared at all times is crucial so you’ll take part in regular training and emergency planning and response activities.
It’s really important that you have a flexible approach and attitude to your work and are willing to work a varied shift pattern which includes weekends. The emergency response nature of our work involves working “on call” at Wick Airport where you may be needed day or night.
