This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage Safety Management System (SMS) compliance across HIAL. The role is central to leading and coordinating the compliance monitoring function in alignment with operational and corporate objectives acting as the regulatory Compliance Manager for the HIAL Group.

You will have line management responsibilities, whilst working closely with the wider Safety & Compliance Team and a broad range of stakeholders to drive effective compliance monitoring. Leading the delivery and continuous development of HIAL’s compliance monitoring and audit programme and embedding a strong culture of regulatory compliance across all teams and locations is key in this role.

As a recognised Nominated Person under Air Traffic Management / Air Navigation Services UK Regulation (EU) 2017/373, you will have direct access to the Accountable Manager and represent HIAL on compliance matters with regulators and key stakeholders.

Applicants should have demonstrable experience in Aviation SMS, compliance and assurance policy development, Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management within the aviation sector. A relevant formal auditing qualification and experience leading audits and investigations are essential.

The base location for the role is Head Office. HIAL operates a hybrid working policy and employees may be based across our geography of living within daily travelling distance of one of our eleven airport locations. Our locations are detailed on the Company website. All hybrid working applications will be considered in line with operational requirements.
