Highlander are looking to recruit a security shredding van driver for up to 3.5 ton vans. The successful candidate will be responsible for securely collecting confidential waste paper from a range of businesses and transporting this to the Highlander depot in East Kilbride. Given the nature of the material being collected, there is a high emphasis on the security aspect of the job. We cover the whole of Scotland and Northern England, so the successful candidate would be expected to carry out long-distance driving when required; therefore, a sound geographic knowledge would be advantageous.
It is also essential that you are physically fit as this role can involve lifting heavy bags/boxes of paper from various locations and is therefore physically demanding.
Key requirements and skills:
- Clean driving licence
- Class 2 licence, or licence with the ability to drive up to 7.5 ton would be extremely advantageous but is not essential
- Flexible to work between the hours of 5am and 7pm Monday - Friday
- Good time-keeping
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Aged 25 or over (fleet insurance)
In this role, you will be the face of the company, liaising directly with customers; therefore, you must be well presented and have excellent communication skills. If successful, you will join a friendly team in an exciting, fast-paced environment. We also offer great work-life balance as we operate day shift Monday - Friday.
