We’re now looking for a Materials Planner to join our Supply Chain team in a job-share role supporting our commitment to quality, efficiency and exceptional service.
About the Role
As a Materials Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring we meet customer demand while driving cost-effective and efficient supply chain practices. Working closely with the Demand and Capacity Manager, you’ll manage forecasts, maintain data accuracy and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to keep materials flowing smoothly. What You’ll Do
- Prepare and share weekly, fortnightly and monthly forecasts with suppliers and analyse responses
- Highlight supplier risks and elevate any concerns to the Materials Lead
- Build strong working relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers
- Support NPD projects by preparing future materials forecasts and minimising write‑offs
- Manage materials master data within the system
- Lead weekly OTIF reporting and provide insight into performance
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams in response to schedule changes
- Support Supply Chain projects with the Materials Lead and Demand & Capacity Manager
About You
You’ll bring a mix of technical expertise and personal qualities, including:
- Prior experience in an FMCG environment and a background in materials planning
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear recommendations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Great teamwork and relationship‑building abilities across functions
- Strong IT capability, including ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A proactive, resilient mindset with the ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility, initiative and a continuous improvement approach
