At Highland Spring Group, our Warehouse team plays an important role in keeping our operations running safely, efficiently and to the high standards our customers expect.

We’re looking for a Warehouse Lead Operator to join our team at The Fells in Lennoxtown.

This is a great opportunity for someone ready to take the next step and play a key role in supporting and leading our warehouse operation. You’ll provide day to day supervision to our Operators and Advanced Operators, helping the team work safely, effectively and to the highest standards of quality and food safety

The role

The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off continuous day shift pattern, working 8am to 8pm, and is based at our Fells site in Lennoxtown

What you’ll be doing

As Warehouse Lead Operator, you’ll help ensure our day-to-day warehouse activities are completed safely, accurately and efficiently.

You will:

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and support to Operators and Advanced Operators.
  • Lead by example, ensuring Health & Safety, hygiene, food safety and site procedures are followed at all times.
  • Help build a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Support effective communication across teams and departments.
  • Deputise for the Team Leader when required.
  • Safely unload incoming material deliveries and ensure materials are located correctly.
  • Receive materials onto our business management system, Syteline.
  • Check finished-goods pallets are suitable for dispatch and take appropriate action where standards are not met.
  • Prepare and load finished goods into the correct containers and complete the required transactions within Syteline.
  • Support the supply of materials to Production as required.
  • Support manual palletisation activities, including wrapping pallets and moving finished pallets safely to the appropriate loading area.
  • Look for opportunities to improve how we work and support the development and training of colleagues.

About you

You’ll be someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in doing things well and is comfortable taking greater responsibility within a busy operational environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience within a bottling or production environment.
  • Achievement of Operator B level for a minimum of six months.
  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety, quality and high operational standards.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different teams.
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to work both independently and under direction.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset and a good understanding of Lean manufacturing tools.
  • A willingness to learn, develop and support the development of others.
