Location: This role is based at our Head Office near Castlederg but travel requirements to sites within Ulster will be required.

THE ROLE

  • Negotiating and appointing sub-contractors to project schemes.
  • Managing sub-contractor packages through from appointment to final account.
  • Preparation of final accounts for submission to client representative.
  • The submission of valuations and variations on schemes.
  • Assist with the preparation of tenders.
  • Identify cost risks and opportunities on projects.
  • Building close working relationships with Contracts Managers, Site teams and client personnel to deliver quality projects.
  • Site Visits: on site to view works completed, quality and management of costs.

THE PERSON

  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or construction related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in construction contracts such as JCT/NEC.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate.
  • The ability to manage a number of contracts concurrently with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Full valid driving licence.
  • Experience of large-scale residential developments advantageous but not essential.
