A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN E-commerce Assistant
Highland Hospice is looking for an E-commerce Assistant to assist in the smooth and profitable running of Highland Hospice e-commerce activity by undertaking general e-commerce duties including sorting and pricing donated stock, valuing stock, listing items on eBay and other sites, packaging and posting sold items, and supporting the volunteer team to do the same. We are looking for a pro-active, enthusiastic individual who is able to multitask and work on their own initiative, willing to help take the business to the next level.
What you'll be doing...
- Reporting to the E-commerce Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:
- The e-commerce assistant will operate under the supervision of the E-commerce Manager, undertaking duties and supporting the volunteer team to achieve income and/or activity targets.
- You will ensure the e-commerce operation runs efficiently.
- You will provide excellent customer service to online customers helping with queries.
- You will run the listing process on eBay including taking pictures of items to list, researching item values, writing accurate item descriptions, and working to agreed listing targets.
- You will manage order fulfilment and packing.
- You will ensure sold items are packed safely to avoid any damage in postage. Customers should receive the item in the same condition as described on the online listing.
- You will clear expired inventory.
