The roles will initially be delivering care and support in Cromarty on the Black Isle. Travel time and mileage will be a part of this salaried role : You will have the use of a pool car (or if you live very locally, you can use your own car and claim mileage at £0.45p/mile). As a Lead Carer, you'll play a central role in helping people remain independent, safe and supported within their own homes and communities. You'll work closely with individuals, families, healthcare professionals and partner agencies to deliver personalised support that promotes dignity, choice and positive outcomes. What You'll Be Doing Delivering high-quality care and support in a care-at-home setting Conducting person-centred assessments and developing outcome-focused care plans Supporting individuals to remain independent within their homes and local communities Managing your own caseload and workload effectively Working collaboratively with NHS professionals and partner agencies Coordinating care and making appropriate referrals to ensure individuals receive the right support at the right time Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing in all aspects of support Participating in on-call duties as part of a responsive and reliable service Embedding Highland Home Carers' values into everyday practice Supporting positive outcomes for the people you work with What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Has experience working within a social care setting Is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care Has strong assessment, care planning and organisational skills Is confident working independently and managing their own caseload Communicates effectively and builds positive relationships with others Is proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Is committed to supporting people to live independently and achieve positive outcomes Essential Requirements Female applicants only (Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010) Full UK driving licence Ability to travel within the Cromarty and surrounding areas Desirable SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare Don't have the qualification yet?
