Job Role

Perform tasks involving physical labour at building, highway, and construction/agricultural projects. May be required to operate hand and power tools and a variety of other equipment and instruments. Operations as per site foreman instruction, such as:

  • site preparation/clearing;
  • excavation of holes/trenches;
  • backfill or concreting holes/trenches;
  • erection of posts/barrier posts and erection of fences/barriers.

The Site Operative, if required, must deal with the client, residents and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner. May be called upon to operate other equipment or engage in activities as the Company sees fit. Expectations of our Site Operatives are stringent, and you are required to act in a professional manner at all times. Generally, this includes:

  • Maintaining the highest standards of safe workmanship and following good working practice within Health, Safety and Environmental regulations.
  • Assisting site foreman in the erection of fencing and safety fencing and completing works to the highest standard as required.
  • Daily travel to site from the Nairn area to national locations, along with possibilities of periods of working away from home.
  • Working outdoors.
  • Loading and unloading vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials.
  • Moving tools, equipment and construction materials to and from work areas.
  • Any other task reasonably instructed by Site Foremen or Management.
  • Completing relevant check sheets and paperwork required.

Other Activities

You will be flexible in your role and will perform such other tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of you to support the wider business function.
