Job Purpose: To successfully engage with the public throughout Lochaber, Skye & Lochalsh, promoting the Council’s recycling and waste services, to increase the quantity and quality of material collected for recycling. To assist with the administration and promotion of Garden Waste Collection Service. To provide practical advice to householders, businesses and pupils on responsible consumption options to help reduce their impact on the environment. This is an exciting opportunity to assist in delivering substantial environmental benefits - helping the Council’s progress towards achieving its recycling commitments and net zero targets. The postholder will be required to work across operational area boundaries to ensure efficient service delivery.
