Post Title: Relief Social Care Worker (5 vacancies)

Location: Skye Short Breaks Service, The Elgin Residence

Hours: As and when required

Duration: Casual/Relief

Job Purpose:

  • To provide direct care to children and young people who attend Skye Respite Service for day-care or overnight respite.
  • To collaborate closely with other professionals in Care & Learning, Education, Health and Voluntary Agencies, to assess the needs of children affected by disability and their families and provide integrated services to support them.
  • To work in partnership with parents and carers.

Requirements:

  • Registration with SSSC and willingness to undertake the necessary qualifications (HNC and SVQ Level 3).
  • Experience of working with children and young people affected by severe disability, including Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
  • This position is classified as a regulated role. An Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required depending on your nationality and recent residency history.

Please note that it is your responsibility to obtain the Overseas Criminal Record Check, and you will be required to cover any associated costs.
