Requirements

Applicants for the Early Years Practitioner position must hold a recognized childcare and education qualification (e.g., HNC/NNEB/SVQ 3). The salary is on grade HC0535.

Unqualified applicants must work towards one of these qualifications within an agreed timeframe and will be paid on grade HC0435.

Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is required, or an agreement to register within six months of employment. Qualifications in Food Handling and First Aid are advantageous.

This role is regulated, and an Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required depending on nationality and residency history. This is necessary if you are not a UK or specified country national and have not lived or worked outside the UK or listed countries for more than three months in the past five years.

You are responsible for obtaining the overseas check and covering associated costs.
