Bird Control trainee Falconer

We utilize various birds, primarily raptors, tailored to different site requirements, including retail parks, industrial estates, factory settings, and specialized sites such as airfields. Each raptor species has a specific role to meet our clients\’ needs effectively.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Inverness for a Bird Control trainee Falconer. The trainee Falconer will assist in handling and training birds of prey for pest control purposes. Daily tasks include caring for the birds, ensuring their welfare, monitoring and deterring pest bird activity on various sites, and maintaining equipment. The role demands dedication to animal care, attention to detail, and effective communication with clients and team members.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in animal care and welfare, particularly with birds of prey
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong observational and monitoring skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical fitness to manage and handle birds of prey
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different environmental and site-specific requirements
• Prior experience in bird control or falconry is a plus
• Valid driver\’s license and reliable transport
