You will be a hands-on field engineer responsible for the planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive fault response, and small works installation across a portfolio of commercial clients in and around Bristol. Working across fire alarm and security systems.
Service & Maintenance
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable), intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, ensuring systems are returned to full working order with minimal disruption to the client.
- Complete accurate service records and maintenance reports on a PDA or job management system.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant British Standards (BS 5839, BS EN 50131, BS 7671).
Reactive Works
- Respond promptly to reactive call-outs within agreed SLA timescales.
- Liaise professionally with clients on-site, providing clear communication around fault findings and remedial actions.
- Escalate complex technical issues appropriately and follow through to resolution.
