Generator Engineer

Location: Midlands
Salary: £45,000 £55,000 DOE
Hours: Average 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Generator Engineer to join a growing team covering customer sites across the Midlands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance and installation of generators and control systems , as well as diagnosing and resolving both mechanical and electrical faults.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and install generators and control systems at customer premises
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Fault-find on generator control panels and switchgear
  • Carry out portable proof load bank testing
  • Upgrade and modify existing generator control systems
  • Work safely and professionally while representing the company on customer sites

Requirements

  • Time-served Generator Engineer
  • Electrically biased with strong mechanical knowledge
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Strong fault-finding ability on generator control panels and switchgear
  • Competent in portable proof load bank testing
  • Familiarity with Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) controllers and the ability to upgrade existing control systems
  • UPS knowledge preferred but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CSCS or ECS Card
