Salary: Up to £19.99 per hour (depending on experience), OTE up to £55,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm, 1 in 5 weekend rota, Overtime available (paid at time and a half)

The Person

The ideal candidate will be a skilled and self-motivated engineer with experience in transport refrigeration.

Key requirements:

  • F-Gas (C&G 2079-11)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proven experience in transport refrigeration or a similar role
  • Experience installing refrigeration units
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Hardworking, reliable and proactive approach

Desirable:

  • Diagnostics qualifications
  • Fleet maintenance experience

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing team, working on transport refrigeration systems across customer sites. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing refrigeration units, ensuring customer fleets remain operational and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service and repair of transport refrigeration units (including major manufacturers such as Carrier Transicold)
  • Installation of refrigeration units across trailers, trucks and light commercial vehicles
  • Electrical, mechanical and refrigeration fault finding and repairs
  • Working independently on customer sites
  • Participating in an out-of-hours callout rota
  • Supporting workshop team members, including apprentices
  • Accurately recording work, time and parts via mobile systems
  • Managing van stock effectively
  • Ensuring high standards of health & safety and housekeeping

Additional Information: This is a field-based role involving travel to customer premises, offering a varied workload and the opportunity to work across a range of transport refrigeration systems.
