We are looking for an experienced Pump Engineer to join a growing engineering services team specialising in the maintenance, repair, overhaul, and installation of pumps and rotating equipment across a wide range of industrial sectors. The role will involve both workshop and site-based activities, supporting critical plant and infrastructure equipment to ensure maximum reliability and performance.
Key responsibilities will include fault finding, strip-down inspections, servicing, refurbishment, alignment, testing, and commissioning of industrial pumps and associated rotating machinery. The successful candidate will be expected to diagnose mechanical faults, produce accurate service reports, and carry out repairs to a high technical and safety standard. Experience working with centrifugal pumps, motors, bearings, seals, couplings, and related mechanical systems would be highly advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background with previous experience in pump servicing, rotating equipment, or electro-mechanical environments. You should be comfortable working independently or as part of a wider engineering team, with a proactive approach to problem solving and customer service. A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent is desirable.
This position offers the opportunity to work within a well-established engineering environment supporting a diverse customer base across industries including power generation, utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas, marine, and infrastructure.
