Due to continued growth and internal progression, we're now looking for an Experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join our respected and close-knit team.
The Role
This is a varied, technically interesting position where you'll carry out Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys across a broad range of properties. You won't be stuck doing the same survey type every day. Instead, you'll be trusted to use your experience, contribute to survey scoping, and work collaboratively with management and technical colleagues. You'll report directly to the Operations Manager and be fully supported by an experienced operational and admin team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Undertaking Management, Refurbishment and Demolition asbestos surveys in line with current legislation and HSG guidance
- Producing accurate, defensible reports using tablet-based surveying software
- Collecting, labelling and recording samples correctly and professionally
- Liaising confidently with clients, tenants and site contacts
- Maintaining high standards of compliance with UKAS and internal QA procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement of systems and working practices
- Contributing to planning and scoping of surveys where appropriate
- Providing occasional operational support (e.g. survey plans, data assistance)
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- BOHS P402 qualified
- Minimum 3 years asbestos surveying experience
- Strong understanding of asbestos materials, building construction and health & safety
- High attention to detail and pride in report quality
- Professional, confident client-facing manner
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience using Alpha Tracker
- Experience across a wide variety of property types and survey scopes
