An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pumps Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Grimsby. Working across a range of industrial sectors, the successful candidate will support the maintenance, repair, overhaul, installation, and commissioning of industrial pump systems and associated rotating equipment. This role offers a varied workload across both workshop and customer site environments, with opportunities for overtime and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out fault finding, servicing, repair, and overhaul of industrial pumps and associated equipment
  • Perform alignment, balancing, vibration analysis, and condition assessments
  • Support installation and commissioning activities on customer sites
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Produce service reports and technical recommendations
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical and electrical engineering teams

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Proven experience working on industrial pump systems and rotating equipment
  • Mechanical engineering background with strong fault-finding capability
  • Experience with bearings, seals, couplings, motors, and alignment techniques
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring or vibration analysis would be advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites when required
