An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pumps Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Grimsby. Working across a range of industrial sectors, the successful candidate will support the maintenance, repair, overhaul, installation, and commissioning of industrial pump systems and associated rotating equipment. This role offers a varied workload across both workshop and customer site environments, with opportunities for overtime and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fault finding, servicing, repair, and overhaul of industrial pumps and associated equipment
- Perform alignment, balancing, vibration analysis, and condition assessments
- Support installation and commissioning activities on customer sites
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Produce service reports and technical recommendations
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support
- Work collaboratively with mechanical and electrical engineering teams
About You
- Proven experience working on industrial pump systems and rotating equipment
- Mechanical engineering background with strong fault-finding capability
- Experience with bearings, seals, couplings, motors, and alignment techniques
- Knowledge of condition monitoring or vibration analysis would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites when required
