We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and technically minded Technical Sales Engineer with experience in the pumping industry. The successful candidate will develop new business opportunities, maintain customer relationships, and provide technical support to Facilities Management companies, developers, contractors, consultants, and end users.

This is a national role with an initial focus on the South UK, where there is an established customer base and a strong opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new Service, Repair & Maintenance (SRM) sales opportunities.
  • Target Facilities Management companies, developers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Maintain existing relationships and build a new client database.
  • Carry out site surveys and recommend suitable pumping solutions.
  • Prepare, present, and follow up quotations.
  • Provide technical support and respond to customer enquiries.
  • Work closely with internal and external sales teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or a similar role.
  • Experience working within the pumping industry or related engineering sector.
  • Knowledge of pumping systems, including head and flow calculations.
  • Understanding of packaged pumping stations and submersible pump applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical information.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

  • Background working with Facilities Management companies, developers, contractors, or consultants.
  • Experience with estimating and technical quotations.
  • Knowledge of building services, civils, drainage, or water utility applications.
  • Confidence presenting technical information to customers and stakeholders.
