We are looking for an experienced Fire Pump Engineer to join the team, undertaking service, maintenance and installation work on fire pump drivers and control systems at customer premises.
The role will predominantly involve working on diesel engine and three-phase motor-driven centrifugal fire pumps, covering both mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and installation of fire pump drivers and control systems
- Work primarily on diesel engines and three-phase motor-driven centrifugal pumps
- Diagnose and repair faults across:
- Diesel pumps
- DC electrics
- AC electrics
- AC motors and controls
- Manage and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
- Attend customer sites and ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
About You
The ideal candidate will have experience working with diesel engines and ideally have a background in fire pumps or similar equipment.
Requirements
- Good knowledge and practical experience of diesel engines
- Previous experience working on fire pumps or similar equipment
- Electrical qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS Card
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage work on customer sites
