We are currently recruiting for an experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing engineering business covering London and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industrial refrigeration engineer with experience working on ammonia systems looking to join a company with strong long-term contracts, excellent earning potential and ongoing investment in training and development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a range of industrial refrigeration systems within food production, cold storage, distribution and manufacturing environments.

The Role
  • Service, maintenance and repair of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Fault finding and reactive breakdown attendance
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Working on compressors, pumps, valves, condensers and associated plant equipment
  • Carrying out inspections and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently
  • Completing service documentation and reports
  • Supporting installations and commissioning works when required
  • Participating in the on-call rota
Experience Required
  • Previous experience working on ammonia refrigeration systems
  • Strong industrial refrigeration background
  • Experience with fault finding and servicing large plant equipment
  • F-Gas qualification
  • Ammonia handling experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience working on systems from manufacturers such as GEA, Sabroe, Howden, Bitzer, Danfoss or Grasso would be highly beneficial.
