The Chrysalis Partnership Assistant programme was established in 2014 and there have so far been eleven successful cohorts of recent graduates. The team is line managed by the Partnerships Teaching Coordinator and comprises two Graduate Chrysalis Partnership Assistants. The assistants have contributed immensely to starting and running various projects and the invaluable experience gained during their time with us has helped them to move on to successful careers in the Law, Civil Service, Academia, Education and Research Science.

Graduate Chrysalis Partnership Assistants are responsible for helping to deliver partnership teaching projects undertaken by Highgate and partner schools, including the London Academy of Excellence, Tottenham. They assist with the administration, planning, running and assessment of partnership projects and report on their progress. Graduate Partnership Assistants are encouraged to take on the added responsibility of generating ideas for new projects and to pilot these during their time with us, analysing and reporting on their effectiveness at delivering on the Chrysalis objectives. Several long-running projects in the Chrysalis programme have been generated by Graduate Partnership Assistants.

During this one-year fixed term contract, there will be opportunities to engage with different teams within the school based on the successful applicant’s interests and aspirations. This is a great way to explore the complete workings of a school such as Highgate while supporting other schools in the local area. The post would be suitable for someone with a keen interest in education who might be thinking of a career in education and/or would be interested in developing their skills of project administration, delivery and management.

Candidates should possess or be in line to achieve a good honours degree, and we especially welcome candidates who have or are working towards a degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Design Technology or a related STEM subject. They should be organised, possess strong interpersonal skills and be highly motivated to meet the projects’ goals.
