The 'Chrysalis' programme involves engaging with over 35 schools across Haringey, Camden, and Islington, mainly in STEM subjects at Key Stages 2-5. Our goal is to inspire capable pupils to pursue these subjects at all levels, culminating in university. Teachers from Highgate contribute through curriculum support, enrichment, and direct teaching, with some participating without timetabled hours.
Highgate also opened the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham (LAET), awarded 'Best Sixth Form in the Country 2020'. LAET offers rigorous A Levels and has a high rate of university placements, including Russell Group universities. We support LAET through secondments, collaborations, and governance, expanding opportunities for local students to access top universities and careers.
Our community partnerships aim to broaden access to academic excellence and involve staff and pupils in charitable activities and environmental sustainability efforts.
